Circular 2021-17
The following is presented by the Academic Affairs Committee for IUPUI Faculty Council consideration at their November 2, 2021, meeting. Juneteenth has been certified as a university holiday and must be accounted for on the academic calendar. The following option is proposed for consideration.
"No classes will be held on June 19 or the observed holiday and Summer Session 1 will be extended by one day to end on the Wednesday of the third full week of the June to make up for both the Memorial Day and Juneteenth holidays. For Summer 2022, there will be no classes on May 30 (Memorial Day) or June 20 (observed Juneteenth) and classes that meet on Mondays will hold makeup classes on June 21 (for Memorial Day) and June 22 (for Juneteenth). Classes held on Tuesday/Wednesday will not be held in the last week of the session."
